Litter - Keep Pleasanton/ Caifornia Green and Beautiful
Around Town, posted by Destiny Miller, a resident of the Another Pleasanton neighborhood neighborhood, on May 7, 2012 at 11:11 am

Hello

The property just prior to the Sunol Pleasanton exit (on the right side of the northbound freeway 680) used to have a large sign advertising ostrich eggs for sale. A couple weeks ago the sign was torn down, torn up, leaving the debris lying all over the ground. Vandals I thought, how sad that they left such a mess. Then, 3 days later, the campaign sign for Eric Swalwell for Congress was erected in the exact place where the Ostrich Egg sign was. The debris from the other sign remains the ground. I contacted Mr. Swalwell and he stated that the owner of the property, Nicholas Chapman, gave him permission to place his campaign sign on his property, and that Mr. Chapman installed the sign himself. I'm not so sure that Mr. Chapman would just leave garbage strewn around his property, creating a complete eyesore. Obviously, Mr. Swalwell has the mentality that it is not his problem.

It's a sad state of affairs that someone in and running for public office has no concern for the state/country he is trying to represent.

Destiny Miller
