It is truly a sad day when criminals are stealing from kids. Seriously. Tiffany, I wish I could help. I have a stroller I would happily give you, but it is a single. :(

How sad, stealing a stroller? Any cameras around that may capture the thief (s). My hope is that the crime doesn't raise in Pleasanton. It seems that BART is bringing many stranger into our beautiful City.

Kind of surprised to read that someone would steal a stroller here in Pleasanton. I, too, have an old stroller available but it's a single also.

As for the issue of crime and BART that everyone keeps bringing up, if you go to the Pleasanton police department web site you can find their latest annual report with Pleasanton crime statistics going back to before the first Pleasanton BART station was built. You'll see that (1) there was NO jump in the Pleasanton crime rate as a result of the BART station being built and (2) the year with the greatest number of reported crimes in Pleasanton was BEFORE the Pleasanton BART station was built.

I agree that many Pleasanton crimes are committed by people coming from outside our town, but BART is not their vehicle of choice for getting in and out of Pleasanton.

Blaming crime on BART is really lame. It's a lousy getaway transport. I consider BART a wonderful convenience.

I had an umbrella stroller stolen while I was helping my daughter get on a ride at Great America. The stroller was old, the footstrap was broken, and I had a backpack hanging on it. So it was not a case of mistaken identity. I eventually tracked it down. Two ladies were pushing it in another area of the park. The backpack was still on it. I didn't say anything to them. I simply grabbed the stroller, looked at their guilty faces and walked away with it. It is simply despicable to steal a stroller.

Prove that the thefts are due to non-Plutonian residents...dare you.

If I had the money, I would buy a new one along with a lowjack security system. I bet someone that doesn't even have kids stole i and yes we cannot blame BART just Pleasanton kids with nothing else to do but to cause vandalism or steal.
I hope someone comes forward and gets a new stroller to you. Hang in there. my neighbors car was broken into (well she claims it was broken into though she left it unlocked so really no break in) she also claims she left $3500.00 cash on the seat and just wants the cash back.
Too many thieves in the area

I've made a donation to Spreading Joy (non-profit registered charity) so this mom can have a stroller. If enough people donate, Spreading Joy will purchase a new double stroller from Toys R Us and deliver to this mom. When you donate, be sure to say "double stroller" on the invoice. Thank you! Well in the era of obama it wasnt fair that she had a stroller and the thief didnt. I mean how unfair is it that she could afford a double stroller and the thief couldnt even afford a single. She had to have cheated someone in some way to acquire such a nice stroller. obama has so inspired me that when I see a child eating an ice cream I just want to take it from him and give it to my child. That child must learn that it isn't fair that HE has an ice cream and my child doesn't. His parents must have screwed someone over to be able to afford that ice cream.

The level of idiocy and ignorance of the poster above is such I don't even have words to comment.

God bless this country. With people like that we really need it!

Honey that's is the reality that obama and the liberals are spewing. This is the mentality of liberals. Have you been living in a cave the last 3 years?

Kangaroo - you are so beyond pathetic it is hardly worth wasting my time typing this out. You need to get out more and get a life. This post was about a stroller being stolen - everything has to be about obama with you doesn't it - get over it - he's your president - show some respect!

I hope the mom will update us on her story! Spreading Joy donated a $300 gift card to Toys R Us to replace the stroller and also buy gifts for her two daughters. Thank you everyone who donated and showed kindness to this mom and her family!
