Walmart Appeal
Around Town, posted by Cindy, a resident of the Danbury Park neighborhood, on Apr 3, 2012 at 10:19 am

I read in the paper this morning that Matt Sullivan has filed an appeal against the ruling to permit Walmart from opening the Neighhood Market in the old Nob Hill location. I, for one, strongly object to this appeal. Not only does it waste precious city $$, but stands in the way of Pleasanton moving forward with additional tax $$ coming into the city. So Matt, who's $$ are behind this backward thinking? You certainly think that the owner of this strip mall should be able to lease his/her business to whom ever they need (especially when the replacement is zoned for a market) to keep the funds coming in to maintain their places of business.

The owner has the right to conduct business in Pleasanton free from obstructionalism from one council member who is charged with the keeping the city moving forward & the welfare of all the residents of the city.

Who bought & paid this guy? It's time to consider a recall of Matt Sullivan, Obstructionalist!

Could he possibly be a bigger union whore? Even the other council members realized that this course of action will only cost the city buckets of cash we can I'll afford. What does he stand to gain, other than ingratiating himself to his union pimps?

In the end, the city will lose money, Walmart will move into the vacant grocery store space and Matt can run for another office where the local unions need a stooge to do their bidding.

I see that the dollar store has set up shop in the same strip mall! I can go to walmart & get my pink slime corn dogs & diet pepsi then go shopping at the Dollar store for expired toiletries & more chinese imports that no one else can sell! Matt forgot to obstruct this one!
