Who cares how old he is or if alcohol did or did not contribute?
People need to watch out for motorcycles! I cannot tell you how often I see near misses because a driver did not carefully check for motorcycles.
As for taking him to Castro Valley, how do you know how severe his injuries are?!?! With what is going on he is lucky to be alive and being cared for at the best trauma unit around, not at just a basic hospital.

Cheryl, You are spot on. It doesn't matter the reason, and doubtful it was alchohol. Surely one option was a car did not see him and may have caused him to ease out of his lane. Car drivers need to take care, too. I see it all the time.
99.9percent of the time, motorcycle victims are taken to Eden or John Muir for their better trauma care. It's just a fact. We don't have that in the tri-valley.

I am the motorcyclist from brentwood that crashed on friday .... Alcohal was not a factor. What happened was there was a green jeep wrangler convertable making an illegal pass around the turn in my lane and and tried to swerve around but lost control in the dit and hit the hydrant
Im still at Eden with many severe injurys and will be hospitilized for clos to 3 more months
