Why all these Posted by Editor stories with a stated position

Original post made by Question?, Another Pleasanton neighborhood, on Feb 3, 2012

and "comments to stories" showing up on main view, pushing town folk's postings down and off of page one?

And suddenly Pleasanton Weekly has a "story" or post BY EDITOR which has an opinion, a stated position on most all current hot topics?

This forum belongs to PW and they can post what they want, when they want. Don't like it? Quit whining and go start one of your own.

All you dopes who donated to PW deserve what you're getting....! Very little in return.

Oh wait, another puff piece on McNerney is probably right around the corner...

Question?,
Because of a flaw in the system, anytime a comment is posted to a story it looks like the "editor" posted it. We're working to fix it.

Probably a feature, not a flaw. Is this a third party system or something built internally? Of internal, I'm sure your staff doesn't appreciate that.

Hi Gina,

What I meant was that most of the "Message Board View" topics are now: Comments on Stories, posted by Editor, Pleasanton Weekly Online.

In other summary and link to Weekly Stories, which are pushing peoples topics way down the list to page three or four.

Wondering if it's quasi "moderating" pushing people post way down several pages? Or directing the forums focus on discussion of Weekly stories, Weekly Staff opinions and or positions on issues?

Reply: This doesn't seem to be the case, all of the comments to topics appear have normal user names.

Or do you mean that when a person comments on a story, it pushes the story to the forum topic page?
