Is it true that Chevy's in Pleasanton is closed?
Restaurants, posted by Garrett, a resident of the Birdland neighborhood, on Jan 24, 2012 at 5:19 pm

Was it may imagination or what? I drove by earlier today and the parking lot seemed to be very empty and the building dark. If they are closed, how long have they been closed?

Another private equity disaster. Over 200 restaurants closed.

Under the Sun Capital Partners umbrella, i.e. Boston Market, Hickory Farms, American Standard Brands (plumbing fixtures), The Limited, etc. ect.

Company is run by former senior VPs at Lehman Brothers, which probably explains the bankruptcy.

Makes you really wonder about Mitt Romney, i.e the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

So people are starting to wake up and notice what good and bad food is?

That was one nasty chain. Not to say that most food chains aren't.

Most people can take only so much stomach-stuffing portions...

I loved their enchiladas. I loved their chips.

I'll bet the Dublin Hacienda Crossings and all the restaurants there really sunk the Owens Drive location.

The best Chevy's by far is in Foster City on the water. I guess I'll have to drive over there and hope they don't close that one too.

I hope Chili's and Friday's stay in business.

A poorly thought out menu, large platters full of fat/calories, meat poorly seasoned, fish always overcooked, tortillas RAW, salsa OK, pretend Mexican food, high priced junk food...good riddance!

Bill whatever, shame on your political lies. What a bunch of crap in your feeble, lyin' attempt to connect Romney with chevy's. Is that the best you can do ? pretty pathetic.

I agree with Mort. Cheveys was Garbage! They also closed that NASTY Burger King off Stanly Blvd in Livermore. Bring back real hometown diners and taste.
