What's interesting about this is that these "newlyweds" are also active members of the "Catholic Community of Pleasanton", including being Eucharistic ministers and lectors, which, of course, is totally forbidden by the church. This is what we get now that we have a priest with a gay agenda...complete unfaithfulness to the laws of the Church.

Evelyn, why should anyone care if you think they should adhere to "laws" of a church? If you don't agree with gay marriage, then don't participate. Pretty simple. Why do you think everyone else should live their lives exactly as you think they should?

Congratulation to gay couples everywhere. May you be a little less miserable than heterosexual couples, who have been so effective at producing a steady stream of gay offspring over the centuries. Since the man-woman union is so sacred, then we must honor the offspring of these sacred unions, the homosexual and heterosexual ones.
If I had been alive when women weren't allowed to vote, I hope I would have supported and worked for that right. If I had been alive during slavery, I hope I would have been active in the cause to abolish it. I am alive when homosexual couples, who are asking for the right to make families, are denied the right to marry. I will get my butt to a polling place in November and vote for that right. It's the least I can do.

So? Does anyone care about how long my husband and I have been together? No? Is that because it's boring to hear about heterosexual couples, they are boring and not cool?
We need to stop making homosexuals look like heros and making it look cool & trendy to be gay. I don't discriminate but in no way would I glorfiy homosexuality either just like I wouldn't glorify pre-marital relations between heterosexuals. Pathetic to see the lack of morals today.

You two are examples of why there are so many hate crimes and children being raised to hate others who are different from them. Grow up and respect others - I'm sure if you were "gay or lesbians that these couples would never say such awful things about you. What happened to "love thy neighbor"? You need stop the hate and stop the cycle of it for future generations. If you don't like where your church or religion are going - leave - I'm sure they would not miss you. Honestly, people like you make me embarrassed to say I am Catholic and grew up at in your "fine" city...

This must drive judgmental people like you crazy LOL! Glorify? How about celebrate, which is what those couples are doing. You are free to celebrate your marriage in any way you'd like. Why should anyone care what you think about how they live their lives? There are so many real problems in the world right now and this is trivial compared to them. Our economy is down the toilet and you're worried, worried, worried about gay people getting married, which has nothing to do with you no matter how hard you try to make it so. All the while screaming morals, morals, morals! What morals do you think you have that allow you to be judgmental and disrespectful? Morals is a very flexible word based on who's using it. I have met many people who say they are moral and have been the first to screw people over. You should be careful about throwing that word around, it doesn't sound like you know what it means.
