Workshop - 6:30 p.m.

City Council Chamber

200 Old Bernal, Pleasanton

Notice and Call of Special Meeting - 6:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter

City Council Chamber Confernce Room

200 Old Bernal, Pleasanton

Review and Discuss Options for the Hacienda Planning Process and Notice and Call of Special Meeting

"At this time Hacienda representatives

and property owners have suggested that a process that would modify and

update the existing PUD Development Plan Design Guidelines and Site Planning Criteria

would accomplish the same result as a Specific Plan while providing for some additional

flexibility in processing site-specific development applications, and they would like that

option to be discussed. Furthermore preliminary development plans for three sites have

been submitted for City review The purpose of this workshop is to present options and

receive Council direction concerning the planning process for Hacienda to encourage feedback

on the submitted plans and to discuss related issues concerning Hacienda BACKGROUND

Hacienda"

Wow, looks like no one cares!

Perhaps that is because people need someone to summarize it for them...

Hey all you "I don't want any more houses built in Pleasanton" people! Where are you?

They only want to fixate on politically hot-button issues and use the excuse of overcrowding in Pleasanton when it is convenient to do so. 51 BIG MANSIONS IN THE HILLS! OH, MY GOD, PLEASANTON IS RUINED! OVERCROWDING... THE HILLS ARE RUINED... EVERYTHING!!!

Meanwhile, the real issues of overcrowding, traffic, and loading on our schools go on, caused by developments that really DO IMPACT Pleasanton.

Makes sense. Lets hope the price range will be such that the people working in Hacienda Business Park can afford them....

Many people are hoping hacienda will look like Dublin, high density three and four-story buildings. They want to close some streets and narrow others to increase the available land to cover.

Our schools especially high schools are overcrowded to the point that every new house approved puts additional burden on our schools. The district still wants the development fees but they do not use it to relieve the overcrowding.

Low income senior housing does not produce kids or much traffic, anything else should be stopped.

Is that better Frank and Stacey :-) ?

Hacienda is a corporate business park. That means to encourage economic vitality that enhances an alumni mentality to secure a sustainable future. That is why this process would best be presented within an open public forum. Wait for the PW's update on meeting, should be interesting. I am looking ahead to that.

Some of the hills in the area are really ugly. Who would want to pay $$$$$$ for a house with a view of a giant hole in the ground at a rock quarry??
