Looking for a math tutor
Around Town, posted by Algebra, a resident of the Mohr Park neighborhood, on Sep 24, 2011 at 6:58 am

My daughter is taking Honor Algebra II. She needs a math tutor. Does anyone know a math tutor that you would recommend? Thanks.

Anita Longshore is an excellent tutor for Algebra II.

She is here in town and is very familiar with the curriculum.

My son is taking a class at Steps...he loves it. They use Pleasanton teachers.

Here's the website in case you are interested...

I recommend Web Link... and it's free!

I am currently re-doing my calculus lessons; wish I had access to this 45 years ago...

Any Chi-Com will be able to help you but watch out they're sneaky

My boys use the Kahn Academy website frequently for help with math. It is a great tool.

If your daughter is at Amador, you may want to look at Think Tank Learning which is practically next door to the school.

My son was struggling in Math. Heard about Steps from a neighbor who used them for her son and daughter. What a difference they made for my son in his math class. Can't say enough about Steps and the great math tutor we had. Just enrolled my daughter in SAT prep class there.

Try Doug Moore "Douglas Moore" <mooretutoring@yahoo.com>, Excellent tutor, especially with honors students. Doug is in San Ramon.

My son has been tutored at home by Rob Kuchinski 925-337-1688, nice, very knowledgable and my son liked him a lot. He comes to your home.

also, we've used Huntington Learning Center and think they are great.

We have been to Steps for both math tutoring and SAT prep and highly recommend it. All of the teachers my daughter has had have been wonderful.

I also highly recommend Doug Moore-He really helped my son , also he is located in Dublin not San Ramon .He also prepared him for the math SAT in which he got a very good score

As the Teen Services Librarian at the Pleasanton Public Library I can tell you that we promote a tutor referral service that is run entirely by teen volunteers. Whether or not the tutors and students choose to meet at the library is entirely up to them. The library is not in charge of the service in any other way. Please go to :
