--680 Southbound in Pleasanton from Sunol Castlewood to Sunol Exit--

When are they going to redo the right lane on this stretch of freeway? Basically the lane is unusable and the patch jobs they do only last a few days, that is when they do the patch jobs. Whoever the original contractor was did a terrible job and whoever funded the original project should get their money back. The road is so bad I think it's possible to catch air going over some of the bumps.

The road surfaces in the East Bay are pretty horrid. 690 NorthBound is some of the worst, but at least they are trying. Stoneridge Drive in Pleasanton is also pretty bad. I think that instead of filling in cracks they should re-do the asphalt once and for all, because bumpy surfaces damage car suspensions, lower gas mileage, and are also unpleasant. A possible cause for this is actually quite simple. Because the Government is "creating more jobs", the amount of time taken to re-make the roads is lengthened so that the workers' pay is increased. This in turn causes the length of time for a simple job to run for years instead of months. I recently heard on the news that the 680 NorthBound road would be finished in about a year and a half. The Empire State Building was built in about this time interval! So what's the problem?
