Bachmann Obama and Fairy Tales
State, National, International, posted by Hummm!, a resident of the Another Pleasanton neighborhood neighborhood, on Aug 16, 2011 at 10:03 pm

Michelle Bachmann was scheduled to appear at the Waterloo, Iowa Straw Caucus event but was late. Now that's not unusual. Well, except that the excuse she used was a fib. She said she was at a family re-union when in fact she wasn't. Her aides leaked this "Bachmann has patterns of saying things she can't back up and wiggling through the ensuing questions without ever acknowledging the falsehood or explaining how she came to say it in the first place."

If I remember Obama when he was running, didn't he say outlandish things? How he was going to work "miracles" with most everything wrong in the world. It turned out to be a little fib too.

My point is that this time around, we need to listen to the little fibs and remember that little fibs lead to some pretty heavy duty implications - like economic failure. This is not fairy tale time at the local Montessori pre-school. This is the future of our nation.

Anyway, I'm anxious to see what the American voter does this time around. The future is in our hands.

Yea it would be nice if every candidate had a little lie-o-meter tied around their neck and it would go off with increasing intensity the more the fib was going to affect each of our futures. Heck maybe we could put them on all politicians!

I wish I could support Bachmann, but I cannot. Anyone that believes you can "cure" homosexuality with prayer and therapy is more than merely misinformed and misguided. Her husband makes a living treating people whose families pay top dollar to have them "cured" of their homosexuality. That is not just ignorant, that is fraud, and that makes her someone I cannot support.

People lie. There's a body of research that indicates that people lie daily.

There are also clever ways that people lie. I wouldn't hold lying against Obama or Bachmann.

I understand that Marcus Bachmann receives government funding to treat homosexuality.

strange...
