Ban 4th of July Parades!
State, National, International, posted by !, a resident of the Amador Estates neighborhood, on Jun 30, 2011 at 10:42 am

These parades are just conservative-supporting, Right Wing, pro-American displays...and are not reflective of Democrat principles!

Well, after reading your post, I guess the right doesn't have a monopoly on being loony. In fact, as a moderate, slightly to left on Tuesday, slightly to right on Wednesday (or wishy washy all days of the week), you've inspired me to celebrate the 4th this year with gusto. Uhhh, bBQ, beer, panama hat, shorts, ... uhhh ... that's the same thing I did last year. Oh Well, at least I'll have an attitude about it this year.

I'll join Mellow Fellow - LOL! Lived out of the US for a number of years - not left or right - but definately think as crazy as this "family" is it is the best country in the world to live in....I'll celebrate my freedom to celebrate as a moderate!!

Wow, such anger towards a parade that is found to have a mere 1-2% impact on a child under 18. Seriously "!", you need to relax and enjoy the fourth without even thinking about politics...

The three key findings of those attending July 4th celebrations:

•When done before the age of 18, it increases the likelihood of a youth identifying as a Republican by at least 2 percent.

•It raises the likelihood that parade watchers will vote for a Republican candidate by 4 percent.

•It boosts the likelihood a reveler will vote by about 1 percent and increases the chances they'll make a political contribution by 3 percent.

Us Republicans have more money. Why shouldn't we have more fun celebrating a system that gives us more money? Let the homeless, foreclosed upon suckers who can't feed their families sit on the curb with their sad-sack expressions. Us Republicans can show the Democrat party and Wal-Mart workers how to have a really good time with the money our money makes for us. The US of A, which has the lowest tax rates on the rich than any other modern industrialized country. That's Liberty! What's not to celebrate?

Some republicans have money and some don't.

the 4th is more like a street party...give it a rest...

I don't have a lot of money. And I hadnt' got much education, neither. But I get all the imformation I need from Fox News. I cant' see how anyones could vote the Demoncrat party.

The Fourth should be about our country and not political parties. George Washington feared the invention of political parties because he believed it would become about the Party and not what is right for the Country. I believe he was right both ought to be blown up. As for parades on the Fourth we need more of them.....without a country we have neither. One would be a good thing and the other (parades) a bad thing.
