Sarah Palin’s Bus Tour -- Stuck in Limbo By Cindy Cross

Ever wonder what happened to Sarah Palin’s ‘One Nation Bus Tour?’ Her official announcement claims a jury duty summons forced her back to Alaska.

Is jury duty in Minnesota? Palin will be in Minnesota on Wednesday for daughter Bristol’s book signing tour. Bristol’s memoir, "Not Afraid Of Life: My Journey So Far," has already sparked controversy with swipes at the McCain family and former paramour Levi Johnston. Without Sarah at her side Wednesday, I’m not sure how many people are interested in Bristol Palin.

Embarrassed last month after her confused rant about the history of Paul Revere, perhaps she needed a respite from the ever present media. Sarah’s youngest daughter Piper told a reporter, “Thanks for ruining our vacation,” could have been a hint that the ‘One Nation Tour’ was really a vacation.

Besides publicity, the goal of the ‘One Nation Bus Tour’ was unclear. Will Palin continue with her bus tour as she’s promised? She may need to hit a few more cities to promote a new film about her entitled The Undefeated, slated to release on July 15th.

Palin quit during her term as Governor of Alaska, quit the ‘One Nation Bus Tour’, why doesn’t she quit toying with her adoring fans and announce her true intentions.

Palin is the intellectual beacon of the Republican Party. No more unfunded liabilities. No more unsustainable salaries and pensions. No more govt programs unless they can show a value additive profit, because that's what all human activity is all about. Making money. And fiscal conservatism. Sound the bells and ring the alarms!

gloria and chris---I feel sad for you both---I can smell your fear from here. Why does a strong, positive woman scare you so much? I'm sorry you can't measure up, both intellectually and personally. I fear lots of cat fights about to erupt this political season--there's nothing that gets an insecure woman riled up like a strong, charismatic woman in their territory. I'm sure she scares a lot of liberal men, too. They don't like strong women either---it intimidates their senstive feelings.

In any case, thanks for playing into Sarah's hands.

Steve, as I see happen a lot at this site, you do not address the issue presented, but instead go after the people posting. Apparently you are omniscient, because without even knowing Gloria & Chris you decide from one post from each of them that they feel inferior to Sarah Palin, that they in fact "fear" her. And, you throw in a subjective comment about "liberal men" for good measure. You wouldn't rather comment on her Bus Tour? Her comments about Paul Revere?

How about they simply don't like Sarah Palin? Would you like a paragraph of assumptions about who you are, based simply on the apparent fact that you do like Sarah Palin?

I've heard this argument so many times from Palin lovers - that women who don't like Sarah Palin are simply "jealous" of her "beauty" and "intelligence". Using that argument I guess I can state that men who don't like Barack Obama must be threatened by how handsome and intelligent he is.

There are plenty of strong, (truly) intelligent and (truly) beautiful women I admire. To me Sarah Palin doesn't even qualify in those areas for my consideration.

If anyone missed Steven Colbert's episode on the "Paul Revere" incident, you MUST find it on uTube. It was HILARIOUS.

Steve's point, as usual, is so right on the mark. As an educated male, I can barely contain my sensitive feelings being intimidated by this stunning woman. Unlike me, who needed to go to grad school to get educated, she simply KNOWS things, like how far Russia is from her Alaskan home, how Paul Revere rang the chimes and banged the drums, and what newspapers are saying without even having to read them. Only an extraordinary intellect like Sarah can stand before the public in a VP debate and tell Americans in the face of the Wall Street/Banking crisis that we need less govt'l regulation of private sector. We all bask in her radiant intelligence. I also love how she's been such a good mother. Her kids are beautiful and so well cultivated and behaved. Can you imagine how the lamestream media would have crucified her if her daughter, like Obama's, had gotten pregant as a teenager out of wedlock? Obama's daughters get away with all manner of things, and the press goes after Sarah. Well, the press is all liberal elites whose sensitive feelings are intimidated by Sarah's genius. They're just playing into her hands.

Who cares where palin's bus goes?

If bachmann wins the Presidency, I'm hopeful that her new First Lady will NOT be allowed to move into la Casa Blance?
