CA Democrats rhetoric doesn't match their actions State, National, International, posted by radical, a resident of the Another Pleasanton neighborhood neighborhood, on Jun 16, 2011 at 2:44 pm
Democrats in sacramento have passed a budget - the fact is they had to, or else they would have stopped getting a paycheck, under prop 25 any lost pay would not have been recovered.
the democrat governor, Jerry Brown, vetoed the budget immediately, almost like he knew he was going to do it before the budget was voted on yesterday, like they had a deal or something?
no, no, our politicians in sacramento would not do something so deceptive and cynical like pass a budget on democrat votes only and ask the democrat governor to veto it, just so they could continue getting paid?
we know that Prop 25 was set up so that all the democrats had to do was pass a budget with a simple majority to preserve their pay, they do not have to pass something the governor will approve!
democrats SAID that the tax increases they originally passed a few years ago were temporary, but then changed the tune to say they needed Republican votes to extend those taxes as well
we see what we can depend on the democrats for, tricks, gimmicks, and smoke and mirrors -- as well as higher taxes -- in every budget.

thanks for your input Gil, I would love to hear a justification for why the CA legislature democrats would develop and pass a budget that they know their own democrat governor will veto, other than a simple ploy to save their paychecks?

Add Johnny to the list of Ignoranteers who can't tell the difference between on the one hand a newspaper, its news coverage, its editors' op-ed pieces, and on the other a pundit's opinion pieces. Whooopedy-Dooopedy, back and forth, subjectivity vs. objectivity who cares, its all the same.... Is this a Pleasanton thing? I think we in Livermore must be a bit more educated than you folks. Pleasanton's Ignoranteers' ignorance level: Astounding.
