The Weekly closes issues just because they can?
Comments on Stories, posted by Why close the new city employee contract unanimously blog, a resident of the Another Pleasanton neighborhood neighborhood, on May 24, 2011 at 10:22 am

For what reason die the weekly close the

New city employee contract unanimously Blog?

If people are interested enough to write, I'd like to see what they say. Please?

It does seem incredible that the city re-negotiated a contract, after it was finished, yet there doesn't seem to be an explanation. What happened?

It’s an interesting choice. Especially while concurrently asking for donations to stay afloat. Uninhibited feedback and discussion on the Town Forum is (in my opinion) the most valued aspect of the PW.

The only non-administrative reason for closing a discussion should be that the discussion has covered the issue and has become repetitive.

The only limit to participation should be the exclusion of a poster that violates the terms of use, which I would hope include a civility clause.
