'Suckers for St. Jude'

Some Walnut Grove fourth- and fifth-graders will be selling lollipops after school Tuesday to raise money for cancer patients. Abby Fried and four friends, Abby Smith, Haley Carr, Addy Mapes and Lilly Bras, hope to raise $1,245, in part through their sale, dubbed "Suckers for St. Jude."

It is great to see 4th and 5th graders giving back to charity!!!!

St. Jude is a wonderful charity and these kids are working so hard to make a difference. It's great to see their enthusiasm.

It is great to see what such young girls are doing in order help very sick kids. We also must thank the teacher too! Great Job.

Wow what a great event today! During a time when our news is filled with negativity directed at our schools and educational system, it is fantastic to see how children are so willing to reach out to others. Their teacher should be applauded for creating a community of caring that reaches far beyond her classroom! Way to go girls!
