By comparison, it is a good school district so that is not a tall tale. It could be better. It certainly could be more fiscally responsible. Vitamin E will only allow the district to kick the can down the road.

@SteveP - link above (fromm CNNMoney) - you could have saved time by just cutting the title and pasting into google, but then you would not have been able to get a quick slam in on the school district and Measure E - so I'm guessing you don't really care about the link.

'My Real Name' (LOL) Thanks for the link that was missing from the original post. Not sure why the quote's reference was not included when the topic was posted, but readers should not have to track down where the poster got his information.

So, I'm incorrect in pointing out there's an obvious agenda at work here with this drive-by post that states that: "In the end, it was the school district that brought us here "?

It's not the school district that brings people to Pleasanton. The wording of this statement implies the administration, and by extension the union, are responsible for students achievements in the form of good test scores and GPA's.

"...it takes support from the community to keep the schools at the top level."

Now, that statement I agree with. The taxpayers, parents of school age children, dedicated teachers and the students themselves, all make up the 'community' responsible for schools that perform well.

The 'district' respresents the overhead necessary to administer the schools and is not the reason parents move to our city.
