I just read the story about El Balazo being hit by the Immigration Dept.
Maybe if they get fined enough they will hire people who are legal.
Also, why doesn't the immigration dept start checking out some of these apartments in Pleasanton, some of them have 10 or more people living there who don't speak a word of English and the Apt Managers who rent to the should be fined heavily as well for knowing what is going on and not following the laws.

I think there is also some other laws as to how many residents can legally occupy each apt unit, and I dont think its 10.. more like 4. These apt managers know what is going on and do nothing..its pathetic!

Give the topic of "illegals" a rest. The American government doesn't care about the problem. Any comments made by folks that want to fine anybody is not going very far. Accept life on life's terms...illegals are here and they are gonna stay...

If you are not able to see through the persona of Cholo you are not paying attention. My guess is Cholo does not live in Livermore he or she lives in Ptown. Cholo is probably not of hispanic decent. Cholo is probably the wicked persona of another rational frequent poster.
Cholo does not support illegal immigration he/she mocks those that do and challenges everyone to not just bitch about it but do something about it, like contact your representatives. I think in this most recent post
Cholo expresses the disgust that many of us share.
Cholo can be mean in that persona and I believe he/she get a great deal of satisfaction saying politically incorrect things that many of us are thinking but won't say.
Cholo wants to stir up emotion, I think we need the emotion to combat the apathy in our little suburban paradise.

I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. My family fled Buenos Aires, moved to Madrid and shortly after, settled in Donostia (San Sebastian) in the Euskal Herria (Basque Country)Spain. My father insisted that we speak English fluently so we eventually moved to London before coming to the USA!
This is what you will hear on many streets in the US: Aqui Estamos y No Nos Vamos! I appreciate that hundreds of thousands of "illegals" are here illegally! I love the defiance!

The bottom line is that your elected officials do not care to solve the problem of illegal immigration. Accept it so moveon.com...tee hee hee, tee hee hee...
But wait...maybe if you fine somebody that employs illegals in Plutonia, you can brag about that matters to you...hmmmmmmmmm?

Just an FYI-- there is no immigration department in our Fed. government. And that's why there are no checks and balances in our society for illegal immigrant.

Very helpful information. Unfortunately, most Plutonians only want to complain, or as Sen. Graham recently stated, this is a nation of "whiners".
When Obama is elected, the "illegals" will be granted AMNESTY; like it or not fellow citizens. Americans are too apathetic, all you have to do is track the percentage of Americans that vote and you will be forced to agree, America's don't care about much of anything. They are content with a "potatoe" in every pot!
In my opinion, Americans are a traumatized people. Americans are good people and they have been abused by their government and elected representatives. They have lost hope. Sad...
