Tonight at 8:00pm on KQED 9, on NOVA there will be a special on the heroic rescuers of the trapped miners. Apparently while our US media and White House was focusing on the British drillers in the Gulf, there was a story of American heroism playing out in Chile.
Drillers Supply International, a TEXAS company was analyizing and calculating how to do an impossible job of twists & turns deep into rock...before the men died.
BBC, Chile, and most of the world media made a really big deal out of the guys who rescued the miners. But our media was fairly ho hum, and the white house didn't invite the heroic rescuers to the White House, like assorted ball players. This Nova special will tell the story of our American heroes.
