AND WHAT ABOUT CHINA?
State, National, International, posted by Main Street & Main Stream, a resident of the Another Pleasanton neighborhood neighborhood, on Oct 20, 2010 at 9:23 am

I am happy to see the mid-term elections finally coming to head. I am sure the winners will do a superb job and maybe, just maybe, we can settle down and begin looking at some "real" threats facing our nation today. For example, China has just slammed shut exports of rare earth minerals to the US ... that's a slap in our face just in case you're not aware of it. America is rapidly losing its economic clout as China and India race ahead while we sit and punch each other in the nose. So, when the mid-terms come around, the arguments on who is going to "set things right" will be in place. But, really folks, we're missing the big picture. We, as a nation, are losing traction on many fronts. I think it's time we take off the blinders and start getting things right once again. Whatever my political affiliation, I am an American first.
