VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS PAC ENDORSES MCNERNEY

Dublin, CA – The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Political Action Committee today endorsed Congressman Jerry McNerney (CA-11), citing his strong support for veterans, national security and defense, and military personnel issues.

“I’m honored to have the endorsement of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Political Action Committee,” said Rep. McNerney. “The men and women who serve our country have earned our gratitude and thanks and the best possible medical care. That’s why I wrote a law to improve treatment for service members returning home with traumatic brain injuries and why I championed pay increases for our troops. I’m proud to stand up for our veterans and the men and women serving our country.”

Congressman McNerney, a champion of veterans’ issues, is the author of a new law to improve care for service members returning home with traumatic brain injuries. He has fought to keep the Livermore VA in veterans’ hands and helped secure a new veterans’ medical facility for San Joaquin County. He also led the charge for provisions, passed by the House with bipartisan support, to increase pay for our men and women serving in combat.

According to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Political Action Committee, the organization provides the 2.1 million members of the VFW with the opportunity to support federal candidates who support our nations’ veterans and America’s security, and is the nation’s only major Veterans Service Organization Political Action Committee.
