Have Obama, His Admin and the Congressional Democrats...including McNerney Already Killed the American Dream?

Original post made by Steve on Sep 28, 2010

Granted I wasn't 100% thrilled with everything Bush did, but you have to admit that Obama has exacerbated our economic problems many times fold. I look around me and don't see the quite the entrepreneurial spirit in as many people because we all know that we will be facing huge tax increases. Huge. Not to mention Obamacare, Cap and Trade, and many other Democrat initiatives aimed at spreading the wealth. My middle school-age child will face overbearing taxes when she begins work.

From what I read, Obama, et. al. want to eventually eliminate private property rights and shift our wealth to the Government so that they will make decisions on rationing.

I look around and talk to many and they say the American Dream has already left town, thanks to Obama and his Democrat Congressmen.

I hope I am wrong.

I am not sure I know where to start. Between Steve, James, m, Pablo and our formally sane friend jimf01, these threads and commentaries have gone further off the deep end with each posting.

The sky is falling. Someone somewhere wrote something about how the regime may possible be considering the option of ending all property rights. Obama is out to forever destroy the American way of life. There is proof that the Creator has been replaced by Big Government. Health care will kill us all.

Do you not see the irrationality in your daily, repeated assertions and paranoid rantings? Fear is a terrible thing.

Hopefully, when this heat wave finally ends, you will find solid ground under your feet once again. Until then, hydrate often, use sunscreen, and try focusing on something constructive.

Keep your head buried in the ground Kay so you won't see what's coming our way. Those who forget or don't know history are doomed to repeat it. Must feel good to think the world is made of rainbows, cotton candy, and lolipops.

Oh, and let's not forget to mention Mike. He is feeling left out apparently.

Well, sadly, that whole 'next generation will have it better' thing isn't working. Employer of my professional son shut down, so family is living up savings.,...kids will NOT be attending college as planned. Only the 'have always been poor' kids can get college assistance. Kids of 'responsible always worked parents' are made to suffer in this current 'restructure and redistribute' world of this moment.

I take issue with that, since my college gave me a grant that covered more than half of this semester's tuition! My family is by no means poor and are certainly responsible with their money, and we all thought that I would have to pay if not the full load, then most of it! The grant was a pleasant, but welcome surprise.

And community college is always an option.

The Obambi hates america and is doing nothing to help something he hates. The Obambi tax increases will happen in January no matter what. 5% in January and as part of Obambicare an additional 3.8% increase in January 2012. He has got to go before he ruins our country if he has not done so already. He is incompetent that he spends his days flying the country campaigning for his lost causes and because of him his lost party in November. I thought he ran for the job of President so that he could govern not campaign. Maria, who do you think paid for that grant.........the toothfairy? No us taxpayers did so thank us.

It seems like some folks believe that in 1.5 years you can change the deficit and the economy. I guess if I buy a Ferrari (an expensive conflict overseas) it only takes 1.5 years to pay off. I guess these folks are neither economists nor accountants.
My son was at a large private university ($45,000/year tuition, that's cash) and when we lost our income source they picked up the bill (for two years)! How do universities work? You fill in a financial statement on or about Dec. of each year and you go from there (to find out if you get aid). These are the facts (not lifted from a box of cereal in the morning).
As for these folks that speak first and then try to figure out if they are wrong, I pray every morning for your redemption. 9th Commandment: You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. How many thousands of years must pass before you learn?
