Breaking News: Brawl breaks out at David Harmer's Tea Party Forum State, National, International, posted by Zone 7, a resident of the Downtown neighborhood, on Sep 1, 2010 at 10:36 am

The East Contra Costa Tea Party forum held last night in Brentwood went fine until the husband of a Tea Party organizer flew into an apparent jealous rage, but the candidates, including San Ramon's David Harmer, got their messages out anyway.
BRENTWOOD – At least one East Contra Costa Tea Party organizer likely woke up with a fat lip this morning and another is nursing a bruised ego–and an angry wife.
The forum last night at Brentwood Veterans Memorial Hall–where San Ramon-based lawyer and 11th Congressional District candidate David Harmer spoke–was the epicenter of not only Bay Area Tea Party fervor but a bit of old-school jealousy. (see link above for the entire article)

Who gives a rip that a brawl broke out? For all we know, it was staged like the most recent vandalism of Democrat offices in Missouri (it was learned that a fellow Democrat did this to frame Tea Partiers).
Given the differences between the two parties and the stakes involved, freedom vs. socialism, I am not surprised.
Besides, the most informed among us know that violence and threats are much more prevalent on the left anyway...union thugs, New Black Panthers, ACORN, etc...than the right.

In my original posting, I had provided the link to the Pleasanton Patch article about the brawl, but the Pleasanton Weekly staff took it down. BTW, the article also provides video of the brawl.

You're not the only one. The PW pulled an entire comment I posted 2 2 weeks ago, because it was a link to a P'ton Patch article. When I inquired as to why my posting disappeared, I got a response from PW that they "don't want to become a mouthpiece for the Pleasanton Patch."
I guess we can include links to most other news articles EXCEPT those on the Patch website.

Don't let the video evidence fool you--Tea Partiers are law-abiding white folks with class and sophistication. Be sure to vote for Harmer this fall and Sarah Palin in 2012!

In other words: "don't confuse me with facts"? Is that what you're saying?
