David Harmer: Tea Party Extremist (with video link)

Original post made by Zone 7 on Sep 1, 2010

With the November election just around the corner, local voters need to ask themselves whether they want a Tea Party extremist like David Harmer as their next representative in congress. Harmer has openly embraced the Tea Party movement as evidence by his appearance at the April Tea Party Rally in Pleasanton and recent speaking engagements at Tea Party forums in Lodi and East Contra Costa.

The right-wing extremist Tea Party movement doesn't speak for the majority of people in the moderate 11th District (Democrat and Republican registration split evenly). Without question, there are racist elements to the Tea Party movement as shown in this ABC-7 video of a Pleasanton Tea Party rally from July where Tea Party members started making jokes about a Latino driver: Web Link

Perhaps David Harmer should reconsider his association with such an extreme right-wing group. It seems like he is only trying to appeal to the most far right-wing elements of the district. Why would we want to replace a pragmatic, honest, and moderate congressman like Jerry McNerney with a reactionary ideologue like Harmer?

David Harmer has an "extreme" love for ...

- America.
- the US Constitution.
- freedom.
- free enterprise.
- America's innovation.
- America's greatness.
- America's generousity.
- America's military.
- and many more things, which are 180 degrees opposite of democrats.

You have to remember things like this when you vote in November. I do not recall ever hearing of a fight breaking out at a Jerry McNerney rally.

Harmer only cares about the far right wing and himself. Not the made up list you see above.

A true example of "bad press is better than no press". What a joke!

ZONE 7, obviously a leftist guerrilla thugg!

Jerry McNerney is a far left liberal democrat and he is so scared of losing this November that he is lying in his mailers trying to paint himself as an Independent. Sorry McNerney, your extremist votes aligning yourself with the likes of Obamacare, Pelosi and Reid has sealed your fate!

We Will Remember,

I agree with you on McNerney, however, Harmer is no better.....

There has to be someone out there that is a better choice.

Can't seem to find a decent Gov official either locally or nationally.

I would rather vote for somebody who MIGHT fail, then someone has already had the chance and failed.

The Republicans are being absurd, to try and paint Congressman McNerney as an extremist!

The Tea Party movement, that took the GOP nomination away from any moderate Republicans...and gave it to David the most extreme group involved in American poltics, today.

Remember, that just a short time ago, these folks were parading around with guns, misspelled signs, and hurling racial epitaphs.

Now, that the election is approaching...of course...the GOP is trying to clean them up, and make them appear like mainstream, responsible citizens! But, if you pay attention to what they say...these folks almost always have their facts backwards.

Are we supposed to forget who David Harmer, and his Tea Party followers really are?

Just take a look at McNerney's voting record and decide whether you agree or disagree. Can this country afford to continue down the road that he and Obama are taking us? We are going more and more in debt everyday and nothing they are doing is helping. In fact, it's making it worse.

markm8128 you cut n pasted your own statement, grammar error and all from patch san ramon

epitaphs are inscriptions on a grave, so what are racial epitaphs?

few Republicans would say McNerney is an extremist, in fact he is a puppet mostly with pelosis hand 'behind' him

Go Jerry Go!

Great job on taking care of our injured war vets!!!
You right wing chicken hawks are horrible!!!
You'd cut their benefits like all the Stinkin' Republicans like Sen. Simpson

The Republicans never change their tune! Their ideas and lack of regulation has almost killed our country!
Why do you people hate America and most Americans???

See you in November!
