Seeks good Mormon Dentist

Original post made by Soccer Mom, Castlewood, on Aug 16, 2010

We are MORMON and moving to Livermore. We would prefer a MORMON DENTIST. Can anyone recommend a good MORMON Dentist in Livermore, you know, one that has a good family and good family values?

Putting something in all caps on a message board is SHOUTING.

Why would you shout MORMON dentist twice in the same post.

Obviously you seem to be making reference to the dentist's wife who is being talked about in the weekly article recently. It is not his character that is in question it is his (I'm sure to be ex-wife's). Really poorly disguised attempt at slander IMHO.

Just because anyone is Mormon doesn't guarantee "good family values". There have been plenty of examples in the media in the past.

Not in good taste from the first poster. However, there is no group other than the Mormons who made such a concerted effort to deny gays the right to marry. There are few other religions that preach that unless you and all of your dead relatives convert to Mormonism (how does a dead person consent to convert?) then your family will burn in hell in perpetuity. Remember who gave us plural marriage, with girls in their early teens. Sex between consenting adults? I think not. All of this done because they and they alone are the chosen ones. Mormons are welcome to their beliefs but they should stop trying to convert the rest of the world. We have free will and can come to them if we choose to, quit banging on my door. And please, stop parading around under the guise of holiness when your flock is as screwed up as the rest of the world. Witness the Mormon soccer mommie. Now there's a set a values to be proud of.

Hey Poor taste, you're called out for 'ooor taste' with YOUR JUDGEMENTAL opinions, tho mistaken,..... nobody could be as low as you by lumping all together !! How about it.  Judgemental YOU must be a really tight, puckered hypocritical evangelical...the worst hypocrites of all. OR the superior only ones who can go to heaven, catholics. They who IDOLIZE and condone their priests who DO RAPE boys and keep re-electing popes who coverup violators and thinks they are ALL above our U S LAWS. Both hypocriticaol evangelicals and catholics feel they are the chosen ones to 'sit in judgement' of everyone else's actions. Few of you are fit to sit in judgement of others, and proves you violate your hypocritical teachings ! ALL religions violate their own teachings...such hypocrites ! How dare you pretend to be superior to anyone.

I never knew religion corelated to A, a good dentist, and B, good family values and a good family.

Soccer Mom,
I think you would have much better success asking this question within the Mormon community - i.e. I'm sure the Church of Later Day Saints has a community forum. I don't agree with your criteria for dentist selection, my selection criteria is much much different than your own - religion actually doesn't even come into play in my decision. If this is in fact important to you, I would recommend searching/asking for reccomendations within the Mormon community you will be moving near.

Welcome to Pleasanton. This is very nice community. However bigots are really not welcome. What difference does it make what religion a person has? Especially when they are working on your teeth? This kind of clannish closed behavior is not what America is based on; it is what happens in places like the Balkans and Afghanistan. You of course can isolate yourself from the rest of us, it is your choice. I find it offensive that you would consider us non-Mormons unclean and unfit to do business with. Please reconsider your mean spirited ways. If your religion prevents you from contact with us normal folk I suggest that your religion has some serious growing up to do. This kind of behavior will eventually drive a wedge in society. We are one under God, aren't we? Then act like you mean it.

The bigotry that started this was from a NON-mormon 'Soccer Mom' , viciously BULLYING and mocking Mormons...truly UNcivil, And by 'You realize', trying to make a phony media connection...disgusting slander & bullying, UNbecoming any American, but certainly explains why we have such a problem with bullying BIT**** at school, being taught such bullying bigotry at home.

There must be some weird, behind-the-scenes stuff with this story that I'm (ignorantly?) not aware of. I know of the story of the woman and the teenage boys, and I read that her hubby is a local dentist.

But beyond that, why are there so many odd postings in various forums about this? The woman obviously is mentally ill, and has been charged with 60+ felonies, and her bail is set very high (in the multi-millions).

So, the system so far is working. What is the "back story" here? Or am I just seeing a bunch of people get all worked up about a local story because they have nothing better to do?

You are SO right Joe. The woman is obviously mentally ill. Some very miserable with their own religions, are so tiny, and so petty, they are trying to make this into a religios situation... Sadly, THEY are also memtally sick. They certainly would not be objective or mentally healthy enough to even serve on her jury. Soccer, realize, zilcho, others are so shallow to attack the conditions of others....maybe your spouse will develop a condition and we can all attack and laugh at YOU !! ...can't wait 'til you get your turn at stupid sick and twisted games you so love.

People have the right to seek the religion that fits them, no matter what it is, This right was given us by our forefathers. My husbands family came from a very strong line of Mormons. Yes their were many that practiced polygamy. Many did not. It was their choice as they saw it at the time. I feel that even though many of his relatives do not now practice Mormonism,it is because our country gives us the right to worship as we wish. Being of one religion or another does not make a person better than anyone else. Nor does it make one profession better than another. I for one choose people that I am comfortable with. They can be any religion or race. Each is judged on an individual basis.

What I note in this diatribe of foolishness above all else (and there was a lot of foolioshness to note, so that's saying a lot) is that the person going by the name "poor taste, but..." obviously does not have a clue about the tennets or beliefs of Latter Day Saints (Mormons).

I am certain however, they are all praying for you, which is good, because there is obviously much work to be done (as there is for all of us).

well, give the morons credit. They pulled off the trifecta. In the last couple of years one of their flock murdered their parents, 2 of their finest pulled a Madoff, and finally the "Poster Mormon" Suzee Q, raped 14 year olds. What is this world coming to? You Morons are giving the Catholic weirdos a run for their money. Tithe that you freakoids... PS What underwear is David Harmer wearing. That boy is strange. Elder?
