Posted by RN, a resident of the Another Pleasanton neighborhood neighborhood, on Aug 14, 2010 at 1:24 am I agree w/ Jane... the author of the article may not know anything about Health Care. The author did not suggest he did, but only reported the assessment of a person who worked and had experience within Gov Human Resources.
And perhaps the Human Resource person may not even know anything ("nothing") about health care... yet he certainly is qualified to give an assessment on the layers of "humans" thus the dollars needed to oversee and execute this Gov run plan. So typical of any Gov run service....inefficient, layers of people, and costly.
These same people will suggest( no, belittle) those of us who are professional health care providers and insist we are not qualified either. Our experience means nothing thus we know "nothing" . They conclude our comments are "scare tactics" or lack insight or that we simply "believe everything we read".
Sadly the supporters of this Gov Plan want to convince the public that the Obama Plan is a good thing only because they are committed to their politics (not to health care) and secondly, seek only to argue in opposition to others to defend their politics.
But its the same thing the Gov has done to date and plans to do. It will spend $125 million over the next four years, on top of all the tax dollars being spent, like the Andy Griffith TV commercial and a special four-color Medicare brochure, to defend and advance their politics.
The idiots are not those who "read" as it was suggested. But instead, it is those who are unable to separate their politics from what they read and make an honest attempt to understand exactly how this plan is going to affect them and their families.
