Bad Soccer Mommie Story Too Hot? Comments on Stories, posted by what's up?, a resident of the Another Pleasanton neighborhood neighborhood, on Aug 11, 2010 at 11:35 am
When Henry Germain was arrested on similar charges there were endless strings on the Weekly with comments rarely restricted. Now that a female has been arrested not only are the articles restricted to no comments but a thread already posted here was completely removed.
How about an explanation Weekly?
You allow endless rants from the nutcase right about every topic under the sun. But when a Mormon mommie is arrested it is suddenly too hot to allow comments?

Yeah I've noticed that too. This is censorship at it's finest, and ironically it is the Weekly (aka: the press) doing it instead of a government. Does someone at the Weekly have a connection to the people involved in the case? I'm sure the Weekly will just say there are too many comments too keep up with, but that isn't an ethical reason.

Pleasanton Weekly PRINTEDE the story WITH the woman's NAME and her HUSBANDS name and the fact that he is a PROMINENT well know dentist. SO, whenever they get enough HEAT from the outside , they CAVE!

It looks as if the PW has just very recently "revived" the previously deleted/suppressed topic discussion, the one that wasn't there late this morning:

And I do sense that there is a bit of a double-standard in play here; in several recent past cases when a man was accused of inappropriate behavior with children, the discussion threads were kept open with no censorship. When a woman is involved, there has been.

Good Lord people. What do you want? Blood? She does have an innocent family. Maybe the PW is trying to spare her children and the other children she is accused of abusing and their families. Lord knows the good people of Pleasanton always have a comment.

Martha, did you ever think that maybe Henry Germain has a family? What did the Pleasanton Weekly do to protect his family and the children he abused from unkind media? It's ridiculous that this Mormon mom gets special treatment from media that is supposed to be unbiased.

Maybe the PW learned their lesson from stories past. Don't get mad at me for what the PW does. I just think the people of Pleasanton shouldn't get so wound up about this. People seem to want to attack everyone on this post. Even me. That doesn't say much about the people of Pleasanton. I don't think I will be commenting anymore. Go ahead people, live it up!
