there sre plenty of police patrol cars at that time. but they tend to travel in packs. go accross town they are everywhere. 2-4 cop cars at a time on a block. what they need to do is spread them out. not have intersecting routes that they tend to populate at.

*The suspect, described as a Hispanic man standing 5 feet, 6 inches tall and of average build--who only spoke spanish...
Sounds like this suspect was an illegal. It doesn't surprise me, since Vineyard Avenue has become our own "Little Mexico" and is within walking distance of First & Abbie St. I used to live on Vineyard Ave. and many of my neighbors were illegals. One couple would move in, and then other "relatives" would move in later -- pretty soon the manager wasn't sure who was residing in the apartment. Frankly, I wondered whether the previous manager had an active part in moving in illegals, perhaps being paid for the favor? (Eventually, I was the only "english speaker" in my building and I have since moved to another neighborhood, in disgust.)
These people would sell food door to door (without permits, or TB tests to prepare this food in their homes). Sometimes pulling up in a car, and honking a bicycle horn, calling their customers to "come buy" corn on the cob (complete with mayonnaise & chili sauce) right out of the trunk of the car. Sometimes walking thru the complex honking a horn and squawking -- "tamales! taquitos!" (And their customers would drop the litter on the ground like they were back in Tijuana! It's funny how these people move here for a "better life" and then come here and throw their trash everywhere!) Does anybody remember the little old "Tamale Lady" who stood outside of Cole's Market selling tamales from a pot in her shopping cart?
At one point, I am not kidding, I had a "Roach Coach" rolling up nightly outside my apartment on Vine Street, frying up food and dishing up combo meals, tacos, and burritos! I had a crowd outside my bedroom window lined up !
Finally, after several calls to the police, I persuaded them to be more aggressive and enforce health code and permit to operate violations. Honestly, I worried not only about food poisoning -- but these people could have hepatitis, TB, or other diseases.
Once again, it comes down to honesty, integrity, respect, and following the rules. We should not tolerate illegal immigration. We have a right to know who are neighbors are -- and to keep the "criminals" out of Pleasanton!

What interesting insight.
I don't think I am being hateful to want to preserve our way of life and not wanting Pleasanton to become, as SoCal and San jose have become, another little Tiajuana, We need to institute ordinances before we become the minority here as english speakers are in many California cities.
Because of gang attitudes, my children are afraid of the Mexican gangs that have formed in PMS and Amador,
We are fools to continue the availability of social services that invite illegal immigration.

I think that Qwerty did it!
Did somebody say armadillo tamales with cactus sauce? Yummy yum yum...
I don't think that MoreICE is hateful at all, just stupid.
Spanish lesson: Su casa, mi casa!
I've dropped plastic soda pop caps anyplace on the street for years. As for candy wrappers, on your front lawn if it's convenient.
As for not tolerating illegal immigration, you have no choice. Thousands and thousands continue to sneak across the border and the US government still can't stop it. My recommendation is that you call in the Keystone Cops...tee hee hee, tee hee hee...
