New FCC rules on wireless microphone could affect local users

New Federal Communication Commission rules bearing on the use of wireless microphones that went into effect last month affect similar devices such as wireless intercoms, in-ear monitors, audio instrument links and cueing equipment, according to the Pleasanton Police Department.

If it is Lectrosonics equipment you are using, frequency blocks 27, 28 and 29 fall into the now illegal 700 MHz band. For models of our products dating back to about 5 years old, we can modify them to use legal frequencies at a nominal cost. Please contact our customer service department for quotes.

And don't forget to support US Congressman Jerry McNerney in November - he's my uncle and a great guy.
