Helicopters flying around Tri-Valley, any comments?
Around Town, posted by Joan M., a resident of the Del Prado neighborhood, on Jun 19, 2007 at 10:07 am

I've been seeing and hearing helicopters flying around Tri-Valley.

Is it Military training or police? Any comments?

Seems like Camps Parks is holding some helicopter training. The noise was rather constant over the weekend. It would be nice to know how long they are going to be doing this for.

Maybe there were air shows at the Livermore airport to celebrate Father's Day?

Thanks for everyone's comments.

We made some phone calls and found out that Camp Parks Army Reserve Base in Dublin has been conducting medic training for troops.

The training simulates war zone situations and is expected to continue through next week.

In addition to the military training, there have been some fire training sessions at Camp Parks where firefighters set off a controlled burn and practice putting it out. That will also continue next week.
