I met the owners on the first wednesday event earlier this month. Seemed like friendly guys. They were hoping to open by memorial day weekend but were not optimistic due to some type of permit issues with the city. In fact while talking to them someone from the city was 'writing them up' for dispensing free water bottles without the proper permit (not sure if this carried a fine or was just a warning). Welcome to the neighborhood!

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to this business and hope it lives up to my fantasy of a great meat and seafood shop downtown.

Corner of Main st and Peters. The North East corner. I don't understand about the water unless the people who were selling water got angry since they were killing sales of a very high priced item. Hope it was just a warning. Lets try to welcome any new enterprises to Main st. Atleast it is not a nail ,hair or shaby seconds store. Lets give it a try after it is open and then judge.

The corner of Main St. and Peters? Not sure how that's possible; aren't they parallel streets?

It's actually on the corner of Main Street and Spring Street across from New York Pizza. It's where Spa Aventine used to be located.

OOPS I blew it yes it is Main and Spring. Still waiting to see what they will have to offer. I hope it is not tanks of fish swimming around in their and their fellow tank mates poop. How gross and they call that fresh.
The smaller the tank the more fish there are the more poop they swim in and eat , the more toxens are consintrated.

Any idea on what the monthly rent at that location would be? Are most buildings in the downtown area subject to the same high prices the Domus building was? I had heard that place went for $20k per month or thereabouts.

I have no idea about rent. However, for a resident who wants to purchase some "extra meat"
this might be the place to purchase!

I met one of the owners during the Wed. night street fair. He seemed friendly, gave me a card for a discount and said they were trying for the 30th of the month to open. They hope to stock specialty cuts of meats and seafood. I can't wait!! Will look for them next week!!
