Furlough Days, Kids Club & YMCA

May 28 and June 1 are furlough days for Pleasanton schools. In an email parents have been told Kids Club and the YMCA will also be closed. As these are self supporting programs that do not cost PUSD and parents are now left to find other sitting services or take time off why should they also be expected to pay Kids Club or the Y for services promised and not received? Should affected families be asking for a refund?

I am not sure about the Y, but Kids' Club workers are PUSD employees. Therefore required to take the furlough days.
