Original post made by Teeth on Apr 27, 2010

I am new to the area. Can anyone recommend a family dentist?

I like Dr. Domingo, she's next to (or almost) Trader Joe's on Santa Rita Rd. She's very gentle, she listens and is patient.

We really like Dr. Chen at Dublin Family Dentistry. She is very gentle even for our 4 and 6 year olds. We found her on yelp a few years ago and apparently she has quite a number of satisfied patients. Link to Yelp:

Our family has been seeing Dr. Bueno (Pacific Dental on Santa Rita) since we moved to the east side of Pleasanton over 16 years ago and both he and his staff are wonderful!! He is the only dentist our 17 year old daughter has ever seen and she loves him too!! He recently added an ortho guy to the practice so now they really do "do it all". Definately a 10 out of 10.

Good luck!

I am relatively new to the area too, and someone recommended Dr. Bueno. I had the most awful experience with him. He tries to force unnecessary work on you. He won't tell you if you have problems that need to be taken care of, such as cavities, unless you agree to a "consul" on a different day - he runs unnecessary tests. This was my experience. I am still looking for a dentist and in the meantime, I drive to the south bay to see my old dentist.

Dr. Gibson on Murietta in Livermore is GREAT and there is Dr. Aronoff, a pediatric dentist in the same building.

WELCOME to Pleasanton, I wish you great memories born here.

Dr. Teutsch in Pleasanton is wonderful. Have been seeing for a quite a number of years. I really think he only does work when it needs to be done. Do to insurance changes my family of 5 tried a few other dentists but came back to a well run professional office.

I like Dr. Yee on old santa Rita Rd. She is very nice, does great work (very conscience of how teeth should look) and has taken care of my dental emergencies in a timely manner. her ofc. also leaves a text message reminder on yr phone.

Our family has also had a great experience at Livermore Dental - Dr. David Gibson and Dr. Deanna Aronoff. Very quick drive from Pleasanton, right off of Stanley.

Our family also goes to Pacific Dental Care and we've been very happy with Dr. Sellick and the rest of the staff. Appointments run on time, staff handles insurance estimates and billings promptly, and when we've had dental emergencies, Dr. Sellick has always made time to see us, even so far as coming in to the office when it was closed.
Even when our insurance changes and Pacific Dental is no longer considered a preferred provider, we stay with Pacific Dental because we trust Dr. Sellick.
He's always promised that he can do whatever needs to be done without causing pain (important to us cowards!) and he's always kept that promise.

I would recommend Dr. Lori Mori, DDS. She's been great with all four of our kids. Or, Bennett Brodwin, DDS in Dublin is great.

My husband, children and I been very happy with Dr. Steven Chew, who has been our dentist for almost a decade, and was recommended to us by a friend. We had no confidence at all in the first dentist we used in Pleasanton, and so it was a huge relief to find Dr. Chew. He is pleasant, efficient and, in our view, focuses on his patients' dental health rather than on making as much money as possible (unlike our first dentist!)

His surgery is clean and bright and his staff are all delightful. Thanks to Dr. Chew and his staff, as my children grew up, they always rather enjoyed visits to the dentist; and even my "dentistphobic" husband has regular check-ups!

Oops - I forgot to give the location of Dr. Chew's surgery! It's in the complex behind the main post office. There are entrances off both Santa Rita and Black Avenue.

We have liked Dr. Barry Penner's group that is also located near the post office off Black. Very professional, prices align with our insurance coverage.
