"Partial Pizza Pricing Policy" Survey - Please Vote!
Restaurants, posted by Crestline Crew, a resident of the Birdland neighborhood, on Apr 23, 2010 at 7:06 pm

Question:

What is the expected pricing policy on a pizza that has three (3) toppings on one half and one (1) topping on the other half?

a) I shouldp pay for two toppings (3 toppings on one half and 1 topping on the other equals an averate of 2 toppings on the entire pizza)

b) I should pay for three toppings (pay for the number of toppings on the half that has the most)

c) I should pay for four toppings (3 toppings on one half plus 1 topping on the other half equals 4 toppings)

Feel free to justify your response.

Once I get 20 responses I'll reveal the "correct" answer, based on my downtown pizza restaurant experience!

Thanks!

They should take the price of a 3 topping pizza and add the price of a single topping pizza and divide by 2. That's what you're really ordering.. that's what you should pay for.

Either that, or find a new girlfriend who likes pepperoni!

From my experience- and especially at some of the higher-profile restaurants of Pleasanton (Gay 90's), that would be four toppings. After all, you have ordered four different toppings. Doesn't matter how much of them, it's still four toppings. It's not two. It's not three. They need to be arranged and placed back where they were taken from all the same whether you ordered a full pizza's worth or half.

Gay 90's = High end pizza? I guess if a higher grease content equals high end, they definitely are way up there!
