Farmer's Restaurant: Good to Great
Restaurants, posted by mooseturd, a resident of the Pleasanton Valley neighborhood, on Apr 13, 2010 at 9:47 am

I started a new post for Farmer's because the old one had a very negative title. Many of the posts were positive, but got lost in the rush to pile on negativity in the first weeks of operation of this fine addition to downtown. I like the food. The service is quite good now. It costs more than Denny's but it's a good value.

Good food but dogs in the restaurant is unsanitary.

Great Review of Farmers in the paper today, in the Preview section of the Valley Times.

Forget the write-ups in the paper. They advertise in the dying medium, they get good reviews.

In reality, the place is truly horrible. Decor, floors, service, food - all at best mediocre but usually intolerable.

Not even as good as last place in there and owner promised us better. Shame!

Dogs are on the patio only... not in the restaurant - that would obviously violate health code. It's not unsanitary, give me a break!

I like their lunch menu. Dinner menu lacks flair. Dessert is delicious. Bar is great. Good live music. Atmosphere brings us back again and again even though food isn't the best on Main St.
