New Studio 7 Owner -- YOU SHOULD HEED THIS
Around Town, posted by Art Lover, a resident of the Another Pleasanton neighborhood neighborhood, on Apr 2, 2010 at 10:03 am

Now that the former Studio 7 owner has sold out it would seem to be just common sense to change the name! The former owner and her family appeared to take pride in alienating anyone who did not measure up to their "standards" as a customer. There have been several posts on this forum in the past year about how badly customers and potential customers have been treated when going into that gallery. A few weeks ago the old owner threw an invitation-only party about "moving on" and I attended. This was supposed to be an opportunity to say goodbye to customers and acquaint them with the new owner. Not a box of wine or a stale cracker was in sight and it felt like she wanted us to not ever come back. Not a good start for the new owner. Maybe the new owner does not know about the attitudes of the former owner but perhaps it's time to change the name and really move on as they said.

Not likely Cholo -- why would I have been invited if I had not been a frequent buyer? It never made sense that even though I spent a good chunk of money in there I was usually sneered at by the Mom and the oldest sister.

Art Lover ... Excellent post. It was a shame to be treated with disdain at Studio 7, ignored, talked down to ... terrible. I also visited the last night and was shocked at their attitude (no wine is one thing, but not even a human acknowledgement from anyone to anyone)... SO: Your suggestion is a great one ... the brand Studio 7 leaves a bad taste in the mouth ... change the name and get a new start ... and cholo ... shut up.
