Description of McNerney: "Anti-American, Traitor, Spineless, Sell-Out"... State, National, International, posted by Bill, a resident of the Another Pleasanton neighborhood neighborhood, on Mar 21, 2010 at 9:27 am
McNerney, Your "yes" vote will destroy America. We cannot afford it. It will make healthcare much worse. It will bankrupt us. What is it about this you do not understand? How much are you receiving under-the-table from Madam Pelosi and Obama to vote "yes"? What is it about this once terrific country that you do not like?

Sell out? I WISH! We've been able to get a number of representatives to sell out the American people in order to protect the profit margins of our companies. Who do you think has REALLY sold out to the insurance lobby? I'll give you a hint--they're not voting for health care reform!

The insurance companies' profit margin is in the 2 to 4% range. That makes them the 28th most profitable business in America. They spend 80 to 85% of premiums collected on paying for claims, and the rest goes to their overhead, and what's left goes to profit so they can stay in business.
The food industry is the number one most profitable (highest profit margin) industry in the country. Well those greedy bastards! Should the Government should take over the food industry too - free food for all?
What about Ross Dress For Less who just announced millions and millions in profit. Should the Government take them over for being too greedy and distribute free clothes for everyone?
The fact that this Government can TAKE OVER the insurance industry, and run them out of business is a huge warning sign for other businesses!
No wonder no one is hiring. This socialist administration is scaring business to death.

I'm so freaking sick of the stupid that pervades this board. "We can't afford this...traitor...spineless" You're a moron for saying this. Sincerely. I'm sure you felt we could afford the 2 bush tax cuts in 2001 and 2002 that cost 1.8 trillion over 10 years (twice the cost of HCR) or we could afford the 2 trillion we spent on the wars in iraq and afghanistan over only 7 years...yeah, that was 4 TRILLION well spent, but spending 1/4th of that to provide coverage to 31 million americans and LOWER THE DEFICIT BY 130 BILLION DOLLARS OVER 10 YEARS AND 1.2 TRILLION OVER 20 is suddenly something we just cannot afford. Do you ever sit down and truly stupid your line of argument is. You're basically saying we can't afford to lower the deficit 128 billion. You're brilliant. Moron.

Um, does Ross make daily decisions about whether people will live or die?
The insurance industries need regulation because they obviously value profit over people which is evident in their business practices. When Ross becomes the arbitrator of life and death, then perhaps they will need some government intervention as well.
This is why I cannot take you seriously. You're all over the place.

Bill ... you need to pop your head out ... it's okay the air is fresh and clean in Pleasanton. Your rants and raves are pathetic. Please go back to your toothless friends and have a cousin love-in ... inbreeding speeds up the process of extinction.

Last resort of the insane, blame the poor and unfortunate for their lot. And then try to reduce them to silence by trying to shame them.
I have a job Pablo, I am a mom with young kids. Yes, that's actually a real job especially when they have to be taken to and from school and doctor's visits, etc.
You know things are always more complicated than the average pea-brained conservative can grasp. You Pablo, fit fully into that category. If you're life is that simple, you should be grateful, instead you're hateful.

Janna,
wrong again dummy. I cannot even vote but if i could vote would not vote for someone to take my money and give it to someone as lazy as you and your husband. I know he is looking but for how long before you go out and try to do something to help.

Janna,

If you don't think you sound self-righteous, then you obviously don't know what it means. I wasn't here then, but if you feel the need to blame me, I won't be surprised.

This is why I have no use for the HCR ranting and raving by the teacup crew. It's pure emotion. Wish I could say this was an isolated example. It's telling when the going gets tough for these morons, the hyperemotional panicking and, in MANY cases, outright racist eruptions show the true colors of these people.
They're not patriotic fiscal conservatives. They're panicky, prejudiced, and useless.

I wonder if Pleasanton Mom understands what the insurance company's "overhead" is. Probably not...
Let's all remember how great our free market health insurance industry is at producing great service for low cost! Competitive markets are great!

Let's get government out of the food industry! Bring on the MELAMINE!

Pleasanton Mom has shown to be good at allowing herself to be a tool for propagandists.
