Pleasanton attorney sues Oakland for misappropriating $20 million in tax funds

Marleen Sacks, a Pleasanton attorney who lives in Oakland, sued that city a second time yesterday, charging that it is continuing to violate terms of a voter-approved public safety measure by diverting funds intended for use to improve the Oakland police force.

Is it any wonder why Pleasanton and every other Oakland suburb has had continuous trouble working together with the Oakland city itself?

It seems like the gap between Oakland's inner city and its suburbs is wider than ever. Let's hope someone from either side, even if it's not County leaders, will get fed up and demand that both sides start feeding positive vibes off each other. Because we need it!
