Article states East bay school district will go bankrupt next year
Schools & Kids, posted by Article, a resident of the Another Pleasanton neighborhood neighborhood, on Mar 15, 2010 at 5:29 pm

This article talks about a San Jose school district's choices to take pay cuts/less instructional time. It is also mentioned how the situation is not unique to that district and some East Bay districts will be going bankrupt next year:

This is the paragraph about the East Bay (16 districts):

"San Jose Unified, however is not unique in its budget decisions, Allen says.

Cupertino Union School District is laying off about 125 teachers, she says, and about 16 school districts in the East Bay will go bankrupt next year."

Any idea which districts the article talk about? Perhaps going bankrupt is the only way out of contractual obligations that are not sustainable in the long term?
