Tea Party Avoids Divisive Social Issues

Original post made by jimf01 on Mar 12, 2010

In my opinion, a fairly balanced piece from the NY Times. If you want to know what the Tea Party is actually concentrating on, check this out ==>

If you want to meet real tea partiers who are also your neighbors, plan to come out to the Alameda County Fairgrounds on April 15th.

This splc report is complete FAIL when they throw 9-11 truthers and other tiny fringe groups in with Christian identity and militia groups as the radical right for this report. Dishonest.

Then the lamestream media doubles down on the dishonesty by snipping bits from this report and showing video of TEA party rallies and town hall meetings, and the splc doesn't count tea party groups as part of the radical right.

Jim

Do you consider protesting your representative government a radical gesture?

The Tea Party would be better named the Constipated Conservative movement. There are quite a few constipated conservatives these days, the further from the middle the longer their condition.

You still believe that the corporate media intention is do anything but serve itself. Every piece of lamestream news you consume is intended to give you reason why you need to consume the update, next version. They need you to be a regularly scheduled consumer, not a well informed casual consumer.

Jim,

See this article posted today on American Thinker.com

Good contrast between those who build communities (Tea Parties) and those who tear down and agitate (Saul Alinsky's Community Organizers).

We are witnessing a clash of worldviews in which, as the Tea Partiers have recognized, fence-sitting is simply not an option. Americans will now either rise to reverse the tides of socialist tyranny, which have taken root for decades, or they will oversee the bitter end of our grand experiment in democracy.

Um. Yeah... You sound like you think you're the hero in some movie.

Only it's not a good movie.
