You're absolutely right. The entire plan is a massive fraud as well.
Just look at the situation in Massachusetts - they implemented a Uniserversal Healthcare plan in 2006 - they now have the longest waiting times in the country to see a doctor, the highest insurance premiums in the country (premiums inreased by 56%), and cost overruns are so significant that they have proposed imposing dollar limits on health care (rationing of healthcare). Massachusetts residents now pay more for less access to health care.
Most grandiose plans predicated on lies don't end well.

Ugh, the old abortion scare tactic. Is this the best the GOPers can do these days?
I know I'm asking a lot, but let's think for a minute here:
So the health care reform is really a scam to fund abortions? Democrats really only want to kill unborn children? This, apparently, makes perfect sense, because who would benefit from this? The Democrats! You see, if poor and minority people (mostly Dems) can get their abortions funded, then there will be fewer born, while pro-life Repubs keep having babies and swell their ranks. Which fits into the Democrats' secret strategy of....hell I don't know.
What kind of $&)#-for-brains still posts these blog links anyhow?

You conservative Teams Procedural Fraud on the American People,
Your "Team Right" used Presidential powers to revise laws and rules, to seat members of the Office and much worse CONSTANTLY for EIGHT years, ultimately causing the BIGGEST loss of "our constitutional freedom" in a long time, REMEMBER?
Your "Team" of CONSERVATIVES while in office, DID NOT hold out their "primary agenda" to the American People for over a year, with congress muling over the agenda with legal and industry experts.
Your "TEAM" used CIA to LIE DIRECTLY to the American People about WMD, KNOWING this was all fabricated LIES, to invade a Country we have held occupation in for almost a DECADE now, costing out financial demise, along with a "FREE ENTERPRISE" with LES GOV OVERSIGHT" as the Bush Admin turned a BLIND EYE to and even encouraged Wall Streets, free enterprise fleasing America, nearly causing DEPRESSION! Over a MILLIONS of people are injured, dead and suffer major mental illness as a reult of the previous more conservative Admins, being called tro "DO GODS WORK" in Iraq!~

Why is it that your people always seem to undermine and take any potential merit out of anything you publicly promote weather in print or otherwise, by throwing in BLATENT DISHONESTY, (last time I checked that was a MAJOR Conservative VALUE ie MORAL)such as this comment below.

<If this happens, this will be the most dangerous breech and abandonment of our US Constitution (specifically Article 1, Section 7) in our lifetime. >
It's NOT "going to happen" as the right presents, get some ability within your ranks to disseminate information properly and to present your case with merit, substantiated by fact, not twisted hogwash every time.
<The Democrats are planning to "deem" that Obamacare has already been passed. This process should be null and void.">
This is a prime EXAMPLE of my main point above. No merit or stranding of anything close to real or factual.
Findings and conclusion, Final Order as follows:
Wake up and smell the coffee, learn to enjoy life's little pleasure, keep your side of the street clean, seek help of professional when clearly indicated.

What you stated has MORE basis and makes FAR more sense than anything coming from the GOP at present.
That's sad to me! I truly don't like to see the majority of Pleastonians suffering needlessly as they struggle to disseminate THE REAL FACTS and gain substantial merit within their party. I like a good honest debate, checks and balances, but this party has all but made a spectacle of their cause across the Nation.
Here's a people who preach tolerance, love thy neighbor, morals etc. and who blatantly belittle anyone who attempts to reason with them.
Here's a majority party within Pleasonton that will-PRY to find out one's political beliefs at Elementary school level and seek to alienate children of parents that disagree with their obscure and most ill defined causes. Here's a people that won't patronize local businesses in which the peoples have deemed an ownership that doesn't fall in line with the "social agenda" most ironically.
Here's a people that have become nasty, rude, belligerent, intolerant, pushy, dishonest, and who wreak social havoc within the community, while children are struggling to find a PEACE and enjoy their childhood.
This year at the X-Mas Parade, almost NO one clapped or showed ANY existent most of the parade while hundreds of little children did their best to put on a nice performance. The crow ROARED when any display OR PEOPLE INDICATED A church OR military AND I FIND THAT THIS SPEAKES VOLUMES IN REGARD TO THESE FOLKS "MORALS" VALUES AND SOCIAL INTEGRITY.

You think that people who are on unemployment should have no say here or in our country? Wow! I do and have contributed to our society. You are aware that they take taxes out of unemployment? I believe we can thank St. Ronnie for that. We had to cash out our 401k, we paid taxes on that too. I also pay sales tax everything I buy. How am I not contributing again?
Only a conservative could twist it so that the unemployed are seen as burdens. Where are all your rich friends and their trickle down riches to help fix the economy? Isn't that why Bush gave the wealthy all those tax cuts? Problem is you can't get naturally selfish people to share, so that never works.

"Unemployment goes up in a Democrat-controlled Congress, and down when Republicans are in charge"
Interesting. So I guess this means that the Republicans trash the middle and lower classes with "trickle-down" economics and tax cuts for the rich, then people get fed up and vote in Dems, who have to clean up the aftermath and create jobs. Then people get happy and forget and elect a Republican again. Based on what Bush and Cheney did to the economy, this makes sense.
Pleasanton Mom's right. This makes the American voter sound like an abused spouse. Shame on the GOP--there should be a Lifetime movie made about this!

How does that article have anything to do with what I posted? That has no bearing on the fact that you and your friends see those who have fallen on hard times as burdens to you. It seems you didn't understand the point of my post or you didn't care.
You must disregard the plight of most of the country for your "reality" to exist for you. That's the sad reality the rest of us have to live with.

The point is that that the chart in the article shows the pattern of high unemployment when Democrats are in control of Congress. Bush spent a rediculous amount trying to appease Democrats, and fighting the war. Bush did not destroy the economy. Again, he had a Democrat Congress.
Excerpt from article:
"It is no lie that the economy did well under Clinton. But what is often ignored is that he was the first President since Calvin Coolidge to enjoy six straight years of both a Republican House and a Republican Senate.
Republicans controlled both houses of Congress for six years of President Clinton's two terms. In the three terms under both Bushes, Republicans controlled both houses for just four years. George H. W. Bush, in fact, had all four years with Democrats controlling both the House and the Senate. You could say with much accuracy that the federal government was more Republican in Clinton's eight years than at any time since Calvin Coolidge."

I'm glad you feel the need to make a point that has zero to do with that I wrote. This is why I called you Stepford. You act like a bot with no feelings about others. It's really weird, frankly.
Glad to see you admit Bush spent a ridiculous amount of money on war. Your lack of understanding of how that has affected our economy shows a great deal of disconnect and revision of history on your part.
Bush had six years of a republican-controlled congress, only the last two controlled by the democrats. You seem to not realize the republicans were voted out because of the country was sick of them and their destruction. That's convenient to forget I guess.
Again, my post was about how people like you and Big Poppa blame poor people for not contributing enough to the economy, not pulling themselves up by their boot-straps. Forgetting again that a person who would've had no problem getting a job in a decent economy is now going up against thousands of other people for the same job. Yet, you blame everyone but who is responsible, the republicans.

In 1984, George Orwell described the thought process a totalitarian government disguised as democracy would require. He called it doublethink and defined it thus:
"The power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them....To tell deliberate lies while genuinely believing in them, to forget any fact that has become inconvenient, and then, when it becomes necessary again, to draw it back from oblivion for just so long as it is needed, to deny the existence of objective reality and all the while to take account of the reality which one denies — all this is indispensably necessary. Even in using the word doublethink it is necessary to exercise doublethink. For by using the word one admits that one is tampering with reality; by a fresh act of doublethink one erases this knowledge; and so on indefinitely, with the lie always one leap ahead of the truth."
At no time in America's history was this idea so thoroughly practiced as during the Bush administration, and no organization served that end better then Fox News.
Clearly people like Pleasanton Mom and Rat Turd--people who clearly believe that Bush did not destroy the economy, for example--still suffer from doublethink, but the good news is that the Bush years are finally over. They may not be able to understand the good that is clearing away the evil at present, but in time hopefully the programming will loosen its hold on their angry, angry minds.
