Superintendent search firm schedules community workshops

Original post made by Mom, Canyon Oaks, on Jan 4, 2010

On Wednesday, January 6, at 7 p.m., the consulting firm of Hazard, Young,
and Attea & Associates, LTD (HYA) will hold a community workshop regarding
the selection of a new superintendent for the Pleasanton Unified School
District. HYA was hired by the PUSD Board of Trustees to conduct the
search for a superintendent to succeed Dr. John Casey who will be retiring
on June 30. The purpose of the workshop is to solicit input from members
of the community in order to identify the characteristics HYA will be
seeking in potential candidates. The workshop will be held in the Board
Room at the PUSD District Offices, 4665 Bernal Avenue. A second workshop
has been scheduled for Thursday, January 14 at 7 p.m.

The email I received from the district also states:

"A second workshop has been scheduled for Thursday, January 14 at 7 p.m."

If you can't attend two evening meetings in the same week, go to Tuesday night's budget forum this week (1/6, 7 pm, Amador Valley High School library), and to the workshop on the superintendent search next Thursday!
