Delayed for 2 *%@ weeks !!....How about postponing INDEFINITELY !!
This insanity will further knock out our economy. Bureaucrats...useless ZEALOTS APPOINTED carrying out their personal obsessions. Not only a further blow to our CA economy by interferring with the flow of goods, but also puts 1,200 independent individual truck OWNER/drivers OUT OF AN INCOME. ..placing them on public assistance. ...The ignorant, selfish, obsessed green gestapo nuts are overpaid...living off us, and.... destroying CA in the process. Most independent drivers do not have the $20,000 - $50,000 to retrofit their truck. This very misleading headline implies $11 million solves everything ...wrong. They've placed a $5,000.. limit per truck for these 1,200... which wouldn't buy a set of tires and doesn't make a dent in a retrofit.....that would satisfy their ridiculous restrictions.

I cannot believe we continue to elect these idiots. About the only thing Oakland has going for it is the port and most of those items come in from Japan to be conveyed to NUMMI in Fremont which will be closing in March. I guess if I were a trucker I would just move down the state to Long Beach or up north. Why bankrupt yourself to fulfill some wacko environmental mandate. By the way, Broadbent makes over $300,000 per year. Maybe he could pony up.

"I cannot believe we continue to elect these idiots"... If I'm not mistaken, the majority of those making the rules applied to these truckers are appointed, not elected. Perhaps there in lies the problem...

Jerry,

They have been appointed by the idiots we have elected. Case in point, Jack Broadbent was selected and nominated by our Football playing supervisor Scott Haggerty another genius.

California is on the brink of bankruptcy because of the idiots on the California Air Resource Board, CARB, and the greenies that have convinced a judge to turn off pumps that send water to farms in Fresno. There are farms being destroyed by the lack of water and thousands of people are out of work. Finally Diane Fienstein has ask for scientific proof that the pumps are killing the smelt. Now the greenies are up in arms because someone is disagreeing and standing up to them. All these people are appointed by politicians. These elected officials have to be voted out and CARB and the water resource board have to be dismantled before it's too late.
