PUSD Jan 5 Town Hall - Televised or not? Schools & Kids, posted by Dark Corners of Town, a resident of the Country Fair neighborhood, on Dec 30, 2009 at 9:09 am
In the agenda for the special PUSD Board meeting on Tue Jan 5 titled Budget and Alternative Funding Source Community Forum, there is no mention of the meeting being recorded (Web Link). All Board meetings typically have a block message at the top of the agenda which says "This meeting is being televised, recorded and webcast." The Jan 5 meeting agenda does not have it.
PUSD was able to record/produce a similar meeting at the AVHS multipurpose room in early 2009.
Why not now?
Is this just a simple copy/paste mistake in the agenda? Or a purposeful decision on someone's part?
Trustees Hintzke and Ott, champions of an educated voter, should make sure that all the upcoming budget meetings utilize all means of community outreach possible.

It doesn't look like it will be televised live, since it's in the Amador library, which doesn't have the same camera set up as the board room. I was unable to get confirmation yesterday of it being recorded and rebroadcast on TV30, which has happened in the past at these types of meetings. Confirmation may not be available until Jan. 4 because of people are out on vacation.
