PUSD to tax your water meters?
Schools & Kids, posted by Dark Corners of Town, a resident of the Country Fair neighborhood, on Dec 24, 2009 at 7:24 pm

Trustee Hintzkee is exploring taxing water meters to pay for schools. View the Dec 16 school board meeting (Web Link)

2010 school year decisions are being made as early as February 9, 2010 when PUSD will be notifying PUSD employees of possible layoffs. Again, watch the Dec 16 school board meeting for Superintendent Casey's statement.

This has to be cut off at the bud. Our school board is starting to act like the British did trying to tax everything in sight. We need a revolution. Vote out all the incumbents that are pushing taxes.

To Concerned,

Have you considered a parcel tax for Pleasanton. Look at what all the high quality districts are doing in the Bay Area. Read their justifications and experiences with parcel taxes. They are seeing excellent results. We can do the same thing here in Pleasanton.

Read my lips...NO NEW TAXES

To Lisa,

Any reason you chose to quote George H. W. Bush? I can't figure out if you're trying to sound ironic. I hope you remember that President Bush raised taxes after promising not to.

PUSD has NO jurisdiction to tax Pleasanton CITY water. They are two different jurisdictions. Certainly something one would know if one had basic civics.

I hope my water meter can afford to pay the tax...:)
