Cover ups and mistakes

Original post made by T.H. on Dec 1, 2009

We have all by now heard about the Tiger Woods incident and rumors abound about how it is likely a cover up for a more embarresing story. Tiger did not learn from Clinton, Nixon....The cover up is often worse and a bigger story than the original incident. Now the PW prints hersay about an arson victim that is LIBEL. Slander is spoken and libel is printed. How did they resolve it? Change the article without admitting a mistake was made, close the topic to further posts and create a new one only open to registered users. The PW might be freaking out that they opened themselves up to a lawsuit but the bell has been rung. They are trying to unring it now and it's worse than admitting they published something they wouldn't let a forum user post. Shame on the PW for printing it, for not knowing it shouldn't be printed, and for covering it up. This is a better example then all the misspellings in the PW to show that this is not a paper built by journalist. I'm sure this will be yanked down for whatever reason they sight but if I have to I will repost until they make a true appology and admit a HUGE mistake was made.

Good for you T.H. for pointing out the unethical behavior of the PW!
But don't hold your breath waiting for an apology of any kind from the PW.
A certain PW editor thinks only his version of the truth is valid.

T.H. & Came to the party late: whenever I read a post by you, I say to myself Consider The Source!

Incidentally, what do you mean by "is"?

Cholo,
When I read a post from you, I always wonder why you pretend to be Latino and why you disguise your intelligence by often using vulgar language. You are the alter ego for someone well known in Pleasanton.
As for your question, really, why do you bother asking questions to which you know the answer?

Dear Cholo...CONSIDER THE SOURCE. party...you sure know how to crush a poster...waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...

T.H., you are very right in your observations about the PW. Jeb writes whatever he wants and Gina sits back doing nothing. "Journalistic integrity" does not ever belong in the same sentence with PW or Jeb or Gina. Wonder if we could dig up some trash about them, post it as news, then remove it after people have read it? That poor husband deserves more than an apology, maybe he knows a pit bull of a lawyer who can help him out.

Maybe when Mr. Zuffa owns the PW it will be better. They really need to learn how to run a paper.

. . . . . wonder if he will keep Jeb on as editor . . . .

We're living in the mist of "way too much information" age. Watching the local (SF) news when this story broke and hearing the words "TMZ is reporting" pretty much says it all.
And regarding Tiger's situation...we're all sorry when we're caught.

At this point I believe the PW feels that they didn't do anything wrong. I think they believe what they did was legal, moral and accurate reporting. I beleive they took down the part of domestic abuse just to keep people on the forum from reading it and complaining. They seem to think they were in the right but just didn't want to deal with all posts pointing it out. That's why the closed the topic and opened up another restricted to reg'd members.

Nice try trolling for T.H. Cholo. Doesn't look like he's biting though.
