nomocholo
Doesn't seem possible that PW can ban cholo's posts.
Seems like the best choice is to ignore his posts or at least the ones that are obnoxious. Sometimes he or someone using the same name, posts interesting comments.
I have noticed that the PW often removes his posts.

I find comments from Cholo annoying, but I believe in freedom of speech, and Cholo has as much right as any of us to post his opinions. You can choose to skip his comments and not read them.

Three words: FREEDOM OF SPEECH ... Think about it ... does anyone really want to start a censorship process on what is "not good posting"??? It's just a question.

Read the Bill of Rights. The Pleasanton Weekly is protected by the First Amendment, not bound by it.
The Weekly is Free to ban Cholo, or publish Cholo, it is 100% their choice. And should they choose to ban Cholo, they would not be denying him his First Amendment Rights.
Cholo is always free to print his own newspaper or start his own Cholo Weekly website...

If you don't like him, don't read him. Prattle and Tattle was different, the PW sponsored him and they finally realized what a liability he was so they silenced him on the sponsored thread. He can still post as an ordinary citizen, like the rest of us.
Without a little conflict this would be just another yuppie town filled with soccer mommies getting their nails done and yapping on their cell phone while driving. Wait, that IS what this town has become . . . .

I'm beginning to think the world needs a Cholo ... we need someone to bristle our brains ... tickle our sensibilities ... just think if he were King with autocratic rule ... then again think if the people who oppose Cholo were King with autocratic rule ... no ... love him or leave him ... at least we can move along without harm. thank you Pleasanton Weekly for your efforts at putting up with all of us on the Square.

What would be nice is an "ignore" feature that would allow individuals to prevent certain user's posts from appearing on their screen. This feature is common on many internet forums and is great for dealing with people like Cholo. While we can all choose to read his/her posts (or not), sometimes this person posts so often in a particular thread that it is difficult to read everything else in peace.

Seems to me the poster of this string should practice tolerance and acceptance instead of demanding censorship. Like others have said, if you don't like a particular person's posts then don't read them...

As much as I usually disagree with most of Cholo's comments, no one should be banned from saying what they want to say. NoMoCholo - why don't you just move to another country that doesn't have freedom of speech?

NoMoCholo was probably Posted by Cholo just to get your goat on Black Friday. This whole Blog thing seems so many times to be full of sarcasm, and so much of the time We are all ignorant and need to discover the Truth. Perhaps Cholo will reinvent them-self as Chola. Hope You All had a Wonderful Thanksgiving. Gary Schwaegerle

How do you know which Cholo to ban? Continue censoring our remarks as in the past (when they cross the line according to PW editors), but don't abridge our rights as citizens to speak and write our minds. The diversity of opinion and thought is always stimulating and sometimes even entertaining.

You poor people who can't stand Cholo's postings. It must be hard to live your lives with such a thorn in your sides. Why not just make this Cholo's blog and you can all go and blog together in the blogasphere and just let the bloggers who you like into your little, little, little world.

Not to beat a dead horse to death: But posting on this site is a priveledge granted to us by the Pleasanton Weekly, and the only "rights" protected under the First Amendment belong to the Weekly and not the bloggers...

To the last couple of people who posted here:
All the more reason to have an "ignore" feature, where people can pick and choose who to listen to and who to ignore. It's not that difficult to do with the right software.

Speaking of censorship. I went to the borders in SF and was told they did not nor would they carry Sarah Palin's book going rogue. I came home to Pleasanton and went to Borders where I bought the last copy and was told by the lady working there that they had sold out the previous 4 shipments. People seem so threatened by her. I read Obama's book as well so I do not see the point.

I've tracked at least 6 different 'users' on this thread that posted from the same IP address as 'Cholo'. Isn't technology wonderful....we don't need to ban Cholo, just ignore him and let him continue to talk to himself.
