LOVING CHOLO
Comments on Stories, posted by little m, a resident of the Another Pleasanton neighborhood neighborhood, on Oct 21, 2009 at 2:31 pm

You know, I'm beginning to love Cholo. Although I feel he keeps a lot of good things happening on this post, he also digs a little, makes the world slightly more interesting. That doesn't mean I would like Cholo to procreate and have children, but honestly, you have to admit, he is a symbol of THE FREEDOM OF SPEECH. Thank you Cholo.

The name CHOLO is a derogotory name for Hispanics and it should not be tolorated. What if I called myself [Portion removed due to disrespectful comment or offensive language] or a host of other names. I thought you people hated racism. There is no excuse so don't try.

Just ignore Big Poppa. He's always like that.

I despise cholo but he's better than Douglas Kendall. The PW has givin him a platform, for some reason, to spew bad humor in mocking tones often laced with bigotry. If you point out it's bad he responds with a line like "You are humor impared". Anyway he has clogged up the forum with useless posts that are neither informative or funny and has brought the forum to a new low. Look at his number of posts and number of comments on posts. Basically nobody is commenting meaning it's not arrousing much interest in readers as a forum should. It would be nice to pull DK typing from the forum and put it somewhere where it doesn't dilute a medium that people want to use for local information and discussion.

Ahem, cholo means gangmember, gangbanger, etc. It is not a derogatory name for "Hispanics".

Cholo here and I don't mean maybe! Thank you for your kind thoughts...HOORAY!

I'm a person who strives for the HIGH ROAD! FACE IT tuy toy, you are humor impaired and I don't mean maybe!

I've known Big poppa (a fantasy) for years and he is still angry because the last time we had tea at Tully's, I told him to GET LOST! He can't let go, just has to trash me online. Shameful...very sad. I recommend that you do something for the community and volunteer your fat head again and stand in as the great punkin! hahahahahahahaha...incidentally Big poppa, I still think that you look like a muppet!

Try to be more like Qwerty, a nice person who likes to run across crosswalks and dodge traffic.

FYI...from the Urban Dictonary

cholo 3570 up, 486 down

A cholo is term implying a Hispanic male that typically dresses in chinos (khahki pants), a wifebeater sleeveless teeshirt or a flannel shirt with only the top buttoned, a hairnet, or with a bandana around the forehead, usually halfway down over the eyes. Cholos often have black ink tattoos, commonly involving Catholic imagery, or calligraphy messages or family names.

Cholos often drive low riders.

A farcical example of a cholo from the movies is Cheech, from Cheech and Chong.
