Traffic direction not need, thanks anyway!

Original post made by Foothill HS Parent, Foothill High School, on Jan 31, 2008

Please don't disrup the balance by attempting to direct traffic into Fotthill HS.
There are NEVER traffic issues unless someone decides to direct it. This causes HUGE unnecessary backups on Foothill road and West Las Positas. Each day that traffic was being directed durning finals week we were late, yet we left at our usual time that normally gets us there 10 min early. Please use your gifts for education and leave traffic to the Pleaseaston police if necessary.
Thank you anyway.

I had the same experience on finals week and shared it with administrators.
The traffic at Foothill is worse than any other school I have experienced in Ptown, but they are all bad. It is frustrating that it is a situation that is created by the district by ending busing and putting too many students on campuses that were not intended to house so many. But it is always the students that suffer the consequences.
We carpool and use wheels when it is available. I know a lot of people are scratching their heads for ideas. I hope they come up with some solutions because enrollment will continue to increase.
