Baron von Monocle

Original post made by dOuGlAs KeNdAlL on Oct 3, 2009

Pleasantopia is home to one of the most successful spies of recent history, the Baron von Monocle. He's one of these 21st century road warriors who works in China, and has made a fortune auctioning off Silicon Valley intellectual property, but prefers the quiet bedroom suburb community of Pleasantopia, coincidentally the wealthiest middle-size town in the Galaxy. (The Andromeda galaxy has a wealthier middle-size town, but the commute is too far. The Lesser Magellanic Cloud has no wealth, for they embrace cosmic communism, poor ignorant aliens. The Greater Magellanic Cloud is still on the barter system -- but only in order to avoid taxes to the U.S.Treasury).

You can see him downtown, from time to time, strolling along Main Street, puffing his pipe; but will rarely catch a glimpse of the Baron von Monocle wearing one of his mononcles. He is a shy and elusive soul. But if you EVER catch a glimpse of him with BOTH of his monocles on, then you are in luck! You must, upon such an occurence, sneak up behind him to see what he's reading on his Blackblurry. He only wears both monocles when he's reviewing hot fresh IP from one of his Silicon Valley spies. This guy is so amazing. He even has sub-sub-sub-contracted spies. He developed this multi-level scheme with his first venture: AMWAY

More on the Baron later...
(Oh! And if you see him with both monocles in, PLEASE, dear reader, snap a pict and email it to me at doug@dougken.com
Look, I don't care if your cell phone takes only 2 mega pixels...get me that pict!!
